The University of Southampton is divided into three faculties, all of which are fully equipped with research facilities and resources. The faculties collectively run over 40 research centres focusing on highly specialised fields. The faculties are:

• Faculty of Engineering, Science and Mathematics
• Faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences
• Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences

Faculty of Engineering, Science and Mathematics

This faculty is located at the Highfield campus and offers a broad range of courses in various fields of science, including ocean science, environment, chemistry, physics, and engineering.

Faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences

This faculty is composed of six schools offering programmes in various social sciences, education, management, law, arts and humanities. It has sites on the Highfield, Avenue, and Winchester campuses.

Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences

Located at the University's Boldrewood campus, this faculty consists of five schools, as well as a graduate school and the Southampton General Hospital.
